Notebook Computer Audio
For people who travel and people who want a computer they can easily move around the house, a laptop is often the ideal solution from a convenience and productivity standpoint. Cramming all the PC features into a small package results in a series of tradeoffs because there simply isn't room to have all of the great features we've come to expect from a desktop computer. Even the so-called desktop replacements, with large widescreen displays, Hyper-Threaded P4 processors, and large hard drives are compromising in areas where the user experience for multimedia tends to suffer. The most obvious corner-cutting savings is the audio experience. The speakers are never powerful enough to accurately recreate sound and the sound cards tend to be barebones solutions with a headphone jack, line in, and microphone at best. There are several ways to make your audio experience better and still maintain portable convenience.
